Preschoolers
Growing and Learning
Wow, it seems like yesterday you were holding your little one in your arms and now s/he is a preschooler. This is a precious age when children become more and more adult-like, carrying on conversations and developing an ability to reason. And yet, I've heard many parents say they won't cooperate for pictures. Has your child's teacher say they are a charm? Or parents of their friends say they are so cooperative? Children will often do things for someone else that they won't do for their parents.
As a child photographer, my goal is to portray the preschoolers' innocence. At this age, kids already have a lot of experience with having their pictures taken; often being told to "smile" or "say cheese" and to "look at me". So young and yet they have already learned to put on their photo face, the mask they show the world. Parents see their children through my lens and the most endearing portraits are not necessarily of them looking at the camera and typically have more natural expressions and not big smiles. Of course, I always want a few smiling photos as well and figure out how to elicit a natural smile or laugh!
Your design session allows us to determine the mood and style of the photos you would like; for instance, light or dark background and clothing. Book yours and let's chat over a cup of chai, a latte, or sparkling water.
